In 1974, he found in the vineyards of California's cool coastal regions, fruit with a variety of outstanding flavors. What if there was a way to produce from this abundance, a single outstanding wine that offered both quality and value? The result was Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay, a rich, round and flavorful wine, made with hand-crafted methods, including small oak barrel fermentation and aging, malolactic fermentation and aging on the yeast lees. The first vintage in 1983 was greeted with acclaim from consumers and wine critics alike, and Kendall-Jackson has maintained a consistent high standard of quality ever since, expanding the Vintner's Reserve line to include Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel. |
